From Saturday 8 August, Man City Esports will be competing in Rocket League at the Esports World Cup for the first time.
We will be competing in the Last Chance Qualifier which will see 128 teams battle it out for the final Rocket League spot available for the EWC.
Accro, Ejby and Seikoo have been working hard in what is their first year as a trio.
We’ve seen them progress to the Paris Major, take down some of the Esports biggest names in Europe before being dismissed in the lower bracket quarter-final.
Now, they’ll be looking to put on a more impressive run of results in Paris again in the hopes we can grab the 16th and final place for the EWC.
Ahead of our first game, here is everything you need to know…
RULES
The 128 teams are split into four groups of 32 to form Stage 1.
All matches are a Best of 5, meaning the first to three wins will progress to the next stage.

The top four teams from each of the four groups will advance to Stage 2 which will continue to be a Best of 5 double elimination.
If City are able to progress to the Grand Final, that showcase will be a Best of 7.
WHO WILL WE FACE?
City have been placed in Pool 1 and Accro, Ejby and Seikoo will take on the winner of The Cuizine Esports versus AW67 Esports in Upper Bracket Round 2.
