New Liverpool signing Victor Munoz has yet to feature for the club in preseason, but fans are already excited after seeing clips emerge from training.

Munoz remains the only signing made under new head coach Andoni Iraola, after Liverpool paid $46 million to Osasuna for the Spanish winger. He has already selected No. 23 as his jersey, last worn by Colombian winger Luis Diaz.

The 23-year-old cut short his post-World Cup break to join Liverpool early ahead of the new season, and his arrival has created a lot of buzz. Liverpool posted clips of Munoz finishing in training, and fans believe they may have secured a future star.

Munoz is still a relatively unknown quantity, playing just one full season at the senior level for Osasuna in 2025-26. However, he was a member of the Barcelona academy and later represented Real Madrid's youth side.

He made two league appearances for Madrid's first team, but scored seven goals and provided five assists last season for Osasuna. Liverpool beat Newcastle United to the signing of Munoz, and fans are delighted with what they've seen.

"I see the Diaz energy in this guy! Hope he shines," one fan wrote on X, responding to his clips.

"Damn this is premium talent," another added.

"Yep, Ladies and Gentleman, we have a baller," a third fan claimed.

"He might be our greatest signing," another confidently added.

Munoz arrived at Liverpool as a World Cup winner with Spain, following a 1-0 win over Argentina in the final. The deal was completed earlier in the competition, and Munoz was confident that Liverpool was the perfect move.

"It was a very quick process," Munoz said. "When it arose I was at the World Cup with Spain, so I couldn't take any time away to come over to Liverpool and set things in stone.

"I discussed it with my family though and straight away there were no doubts it was a great move for me. It all went very quickly from there.

"I'm sure this is the correct step for my career, and that's exactly what Andoni Iraola said to me as well. He said he was going to put a lot of confidence in me and he rightly pointed out that I'm quite a young player. He is going to help me develop for this great club."

Munoz was also asked about Iraola's style of play and whether it suits his game. "I think so. It is already well known that he likes to play with open wingers on both sides to build constant pressure and an overwhelming drive forward," he added. "That fits perfectly with my skillset. These are tools that I, as a player, also bring to the game so I do think it is a good fit for me."
