3 Liverpool players receive England talent camp call ups

England’s underage talent pathway continues to identify and track some of the country’s most promising young footballers well before they reach their teenage years.

Camps at St George’s Park bring together players from clubs across the country, giving FA coaches and scouts a closer look at those coming through academy systems.

These sessions form part of a broader structure designed to spot potential at the earliest stages, long before senior recognition becomes a realistic prospect. Selection is not a guarantee of a future England career, but it does mark a player out as one to watch.

The latest batch of invitations has once again turned attention to the strength of Liverpool’s academy production line.

According to The Talent Hunter on X, three Liverpool youngsters, Joshua-Kyle Mfunyi, Kessy Aresin and Henry Keshi, are among 36 players invited to the England U15 Emerging Talent Camp.

Mfunyi has featured prominently for Liverpool’s youth sides this year. He was named Best Defender at the inaugural Virgil’s Legacy Trophy in June 2026, a tournament Liverpool went on to win.

Aresin, whose full name is Kessy Ogunlana Aresin, plays as a right winger or right back for Liverpool’s youth ranks. He previously received a call-up to Spain’s U14 squad, a nod to his family’s dual heritage; his older brother, Edeson, has represented Spain at U15 level after being courted by both the Spanish and English federations.

Given that background, his inclusion in an England camp marks a notable development in his international situation, though it does not confirm a final choice of allegiance at this stage.

England have also invited Henry Keshi for the talent camp.

The camp gives all three players the chance to train alongside peers from other Premier League and EFL academies, under the FA’s coaching staff. It also offers Liverpool’s academy staff a marker of how their players compare against the wider national pool at this age group.

Liverpool’s academy has produced a steady stream of Under-15 and Under-16 international call-ups in recent seasons, reflecting the club’s continued investment in youth recruitment.
