The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the powerhouse teams in the NFL over the last decade or so. Obviously, Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid have been major reasons for that prolonged success and have thus turned into a two people free agents want to play with.
However, that wasn’t the case for one star wide receiver after he said “no” to the organization.

Chiefs See Star Free Agent Choose NFC Team
Before Stefon Diggs signed with the Washington Commanders on August 5, NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the Kansas City Chiefs had contacted him.
In July, Diggs – who played for the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and New England Patriots – was among the NFL‘s top remaining free agents.
When Schefter appeared on the Pat McAfee Show on August 6, he said Kansas City was interested in Diggs. His comments were shared to Twitter by McAfee’s official account:
“The Chiefs, Dolphins, and the Raiders all reached out to Stefon Diggs..
It was Washington all along for him and it made too much sense” ~ @AdamSchefter #PMSLive https://t.co/cUpkkw6tZu pic.twitter.com/Kj5unVzwNu

Diggs won first-team All-Pro honors in 2020 after leading the NFL in receptions and receiving yards for the first time in his career. He has also been selected to four pro bowls.
Even though the Chiefs missed out on Diggs, fans can expect Kansas City to keep an eye on the free agent market during.
