Chelsea Women begin their pre-season tour against Auckland FC Women on Saturday morning, with supporters in the UK facing an early start to follow Sonia Bompastor’s side.
Chelsea Women v Auckland FC kicks off at 5am BST at Eden Park, with the historic fixture available to follow through Chelsea’s digital platforms.
Chelsea travelled to New Zealand earlier this week as preparations continue for the 2026/27 Women’s Super League campaign.
The Blues face an Auckland FC Women’s Invitational XI at the 50,000-capacity Eden Park, which staged nine matches during the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Chelsea have confirmed that Saturday’s game will be the first ever played in New Zealand by any Chelsea team. It will also be the first time a Women’s Super League club has played a match in the country.

The fixture is not scheduled for traditional television coverage in the UK, meaning Chelsea’s own digital platforms provide the main route for supporters wanting to watch live.
Chelsea introduced CFC+ this summer, with pre-season fixtures included through the service. Women’s live-match coverage is also part of Chelsea’s expanded digital offering.
Saturday provides the first opportunity to see Bompastor’s reshaped squad in match action following another busy summer.
Melvine Malard is among the new attacking options available after completing her move from Manchester United. ReadChelsea previously covered Chelsea’s £850,000 signing of the France international, who has reunited with Bompastor after their previous spell together at Lyon.
Chelsea will travel to Australia after the Auckland fixture and face the A-League Women All-Stars in Sydney on Wednesday, 12 August.
The competitive campaign does not begin until September, but Chelsea Women v Auckland FC gives Bompastor an important first chance to assess her squad after the summer break.
