Auckland FC 0-7 Chelsea: Beever-Jones hits first-half hat-trick
Chelsea Women vs Auckland FC ended in a commanding 7-0 victory for Sonia Bompastor’s side as Aggie Beever-Jones scored a first-half hat-trick at Eden Park.
Chelsea’s first match of pre-season also brought a debut goal for Giulia Dragoni, while Sandy Baltimore, Maika Hamano and Mayra Ramirez completed the scoring.
The historic fixture was Chelsea’s first ever match in New Zealand and the first involving a Women’s Super League side in the country, as outlined in ReadChelsea’s Chelsea Women v Auckland FC preview.

Auckland frustrated Chelsea during the opening stages, but Beever-Jones quickly changed the contest.
The England international opened the scoring after 10 minutes before converting Sjoeke Nusken’s reverse pass three minutes later. She completed her hat-trick in the 23rd minute to give Bompastor’s side firm control.
Baltimore, operating from the left of Chelsea’s attack, added a fourth before half-time as the Blues’ movement and quick passing began to overwhelm their hosts.
Bompastor made four changes at the interval, including introducing summer signing Dragoni for her first Chelsea appearance.
The Italy international needed only nine minutes to score her first goal for the club. She reacted quickest after an Alyssa Thompson effort was blocked and finished clinically to make it 5-0.
Hamano added Chelsea’s sixth with a diving header after being introduced on the hour.
Ramirez then completed the scoring five minutes from time with a powerful finish through a crowded penalty area. It was the Colombian’s first goal since returning from the injury lay-off which disrupted her 2025/26 campaign.
Katie McCabe also made her first Chelsea start following her summer arrival, while Livia Peng began in goal before Hannah Hampton replaced her at half-time.

Bompastor’s side now travel to Australia, where they will face an A-League Women All-Stars team in Sydney on Wednesday, 12 August.
