On Friday, multiple sources reported of the Reds’ agreement with the La Liga winners to sign the centre-back on loan with an option to buy.

Trip to England scheduled
According to Mundo, the Uruguayan’s trip to Liverpool has been scheduled in the ‘coming hours’. He will carry out formalities, including the medical, before completing his move to the Premier League side.
The South American found out during pre-season that he won’t have a major role under Hansi Flick next season. Therefore, he has decided to leave and has now accepted a loan move to Andoni Iraola’s side.
