Andoni Iraola has revealed when Alexis Mac Allister is due to report back for pre-season training with Liverpool following an extended break after the World Cup.
Mac Allister is set to rejoin his team-mates at the AXA Training Centre on Monday, having enjoyed a three-week holiday post-World Cup.
The midfielder will then undergo fitness tests before taking part in sessions with the rest of the squad in the buildup to the final friendlies of the summer.
Liverpool face Como in a double-header at Anfield on August 16 and Mac Allister can be expected to be heavily involved in one of those two games.

“Now we are home, it is time to step up our preparations further and continue the hard work we put in over in America,” Iraola wrote in his programme notes ahead of Sunday’s friendly against Monaco.
“We now have virtually our entire squad together, which of course will be very important in the coming days and weeks.
“Victor Munoz, our new signing, joined us at AXA this week having been part of the Spain squad which won the FIFA World Cup last month, as did Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo and Alisson.
“Alexis Mac Allister, the last of our World Cup players, will link up with us on Monday.”

Mac Allister’s return to Liverpool comes as speculation over a summer move has been effectively put to bed by a number of sources.
The No. 10, who is into the final two years of his contract, was linked with a switch to Real Madrid, but Iraola has already confirmed his desire to keep him at Anfield.
And speaking in an appearance on talkSPORT this week, The Athletic’s James Pearce claimed only a “mega bid” would tempt Liverpool to sell and that Mac Allister was unlikely to push for an exit.
Though Mac Allister will complete Iraola’s squad – also to be joined by loan signing Ronald Araujo when he finalises his transfer after a medical on Sunday – the new head coach remains without a host of players.
Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike are long-term absentees, Giovanni Leoni and Joe Gomez will miss the start of the season and doubts remain over Jeremy Jacquet‘s fitness.
That means a number of youngsters have stayed with the first-team squad and can expect to be involved against both Monaco and Como.
Trey Nyoni can be considered removed from that group, though, with the 19-year-old instead firmly part of the senior setup and likely to challenge Mac Allister for a starting spot this season.
