Everton's pre-season has been something of a mixed bag, but there can be no doubt that their week in Germany has been a success so far.
Having beaten Dundee, drawn with Bolton and lost to Stoke in their three UK friendlies, the Blues beat Hamburg 2-1 last weekend to a post a winning start on their European tour.
Now comes surely their toughest test of the summer in the form of Stuttgart, who finished fourth in the Bundesliga last season and will be playing in the Champions League in the coming campaign.
