Commanders star left tackle Laramey Tunsil suffered an apparent injury during Saturday morning’s training camp practice.
The nature or extent of the ailment is unknown at this time. Per the Washington Post, and additional on-site reporters, Tunsil was impacted during a 1-on-1 rep with Washington edge rusher Odafe Oweh.
Tunsil walked into the on-field medical tent with trainers and eventually headed inside the team’s training complex, presumably for further evaluation.
It’s important to note that Garafolo’s tweet does not constitute sourced reporting about the nature of Tunsil’s injury. He’s on-site in Ashburn, VA, on Saturday and saw the incident play out in-person.
On-site reporters also said that Andrew Wylie stepped in for Tunsil at left tackle.
As a note, head coach Dan Quinn spoke to the media before practice and isn’t scheduled to speak again until Monday morning.
This is a developing story that will be updated as information is learned.
