Five Observations from Saturday's Practice | Chiefs Training Camp 8/8

**4\. The Chiefs wrapped up practice with a 16-play "long drive drill."**

Head Coach Andy Reid's training camps are often cited for their difficulty, and Saturday's final 11-on-11 offensive vs. defensive drill was a textbook example of why that reputation exists.

Two hours into a sixth straight day of practices, Reid had the first-teamers on each side of the ball run through a 16-play "long drive drill," which simulates the "real" nature of a game with several plays in quick succession without a break.

It's a grueling drill, particularly as the capstone of a difficult stretch, but time and time again over the years, players have pointed to moments like that as the instance that prepared them for when it mattered most late in the season.

**5\. Here's a look at Saturday's injury report.**

Offensive guard Trey Smith (hip), linebacker Drue Tranquill (back spasms), wide receiver Xavier Worthy (shoulder sprain) and defensive end Ashton Gillotte (hamstring) didn't practice for the Chiefs on Saturday.

Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed (knee) didn't participate in Saturday's practice either, although his absence was part of a planned management schedule.

In some good news, cornerback Kristian Fulton (hip) and linebacker Jeffrey Bassa (groin) each returned to practice in a limited capacity.

Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott (knee) also remains on the "Physically Unable to Perform" list (PUP) and did not participate in Saturday's practice.

Next up, the Chiefs will have the morning off on Sunday before returning on Monday for the 11th practice of training camp. For a look at the training camp schedule or for more information on how to reserve tickets, [click here.](https://www.chiefs.com/trainingcamp/)
