Max Iheanachor Sebastian Joseph-Day steelers injury report

The Pittsburgh Steelers held their annual night practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium on Saturday night, but several Steelers did not participate. CBs Donte Kent and Joey Porter Jr., as well as DB Jalen Ramsey, remain on the PUP list. DL Logan Lee missed practice again, as did CB Brandin Echols, who was injured in practice on Thursday and had a boot on his left foot. RB Eli Heidenreich remained out of practice, while S Jaquan Brisker and OL Steven Jones did not practice.

Lee, Heidenreich, and Jones have missed multiple practices in a row.

OT Max Iheanachor, also injured on Thursday, joined the cadre of players not practicing, which included DL Sebastian Joseph-Day. Iheanachor left Thursday’s practice with an apparent shoulder injury. Mike McCarthy downplayed the severity of his injury on Friday and said he could practice next week.

Echols’ injury could cause him to miss a longer amount of time. The nature of the injuries to Brisker and Joseph-Day, as well as Lee, Heidenreich, and Jones, are unknown.

Lee, Heidenreich, and Jones are all on the roster bubble, so their inability to practice could hurt their chances of making the initial roster.

The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo noted DL Keeanu Benton has not taken part in team drills over the last “couple” practices. He was wearing a big wrap on his hand during Saturday’s practice.

During practice, trainers looked at WR Michael Pittman Jr.’s right leg.

Pittman did not return to practice after being examined, and we’ll likely get a status update on him before Monday’s practice. Acquired to fill the WR2 hole Pittsburgh has had for multiple seasons, losing Pittman would be a blow to the offense. Fortunately, the injury doesn’t seem that serious.

A trainer briefly examined TE Darnell Washington, but he returned to practice shortly after.

The Steelers have tomorrow off but return to practice Monday, one of two public practices before the team hosts the Green Bay Packers in their first preseason game on Thursday.
