Levi Colwill has showered his teammate Romeo Lavia with plenty of love following Chelsea’s pre-season victory against AC Milan on Saturday.
Colwill did not feature, but Lavia started the friendly and played the entire match as Chelsea went on to win 3-0.
Joao Pedro once again managed to get his name on the scoresheet, bagging a brace before Moises Caicedo topped things off with an amazing strike early in the second half.
It is only the second time that Lavia has completed 90 minutes on the pitch since joining Chelsea. His first also came in a pre-season friendly against Manchester City two years ago.
Understandably, Lavia’s teammates were delighted to see him finish the Milan game, including Colwill. On his Instagram story, Colwill posted a picture of him and Lavia in the dressing room after the full-time whistle with the caption “proud dad moment”.
It was a repost of a picture that Wesley Fofana had originally shared with the caption “First 90 min”. The Frenchman clearly forgot about the City friendly like the rest of us!

Colwill also missed Chelsea’s defeat to Juventus, but the central defender is not thought to be carrying a serious injury, which will come as a relief to Blues supporters.
The England international missed practically the entirety of the 2025/26 campaign because of an ACL injury, contributing to the team’s defensive struggles.
