Arsenal are reportedly bracing for interest in Martin Zubimendi as Real Madrid and Chelsea eye a move for the midfielder. The Gunners are expected to have a busy end to the summer transfer window, with a lot of the focus likely to be on potential incoming business.
However, Arsenal have already sanctioned the exit of one prominent first-team player with the Gunners agreeing a £17million deal for Leandro Trossard to join Besiktas.
It remains to be seen if any more players will leave north London before the September 1 deadline, but it has been reported that Zubimendi's future could be one to keep an eye on over the next few weeks.
Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo have reported that Real Madrid could take advantage of an "uncertain future" that Zubimendi faces at Arsenal this summer.
It has been reported that Zubimendi's future with the Gunners is now in doubt after the club signed Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United for £75million.
Madrid are reported to be looking to sign a new midfielder, and appear likely to miss out on signing Rodri, with Barcelona the Manchester City star's most probable destination.
The report goes on to say, though, that Arsenal are unlikely to sanction Zubimendi's sale this summer for less than €90million (£77million).
It has also been claimed that Chelsea are also expressing an interest in signing Zubimendi, with their new manager, Xabi Alonso, thought to be keen to bring the Spain international to Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal only signed Zubimendi last summer from Real Sociedad in a deal worth slightly more than the £51million release clause that was in his contract with the La Liga club.
Madrid expressed an interest in signing Zubimendi 12 months ago, but Arsenal managed to beat the La Liga giants to the 27-year-old’s signature.
Zubimendi played a key role in Arsenal’s success last season, making 57 appearances across all competitions and helped the Gunners win the Premier League title and reach the Champions League final - though he did see his playing time diminish slightly as the campaign wore on.
It remains to be seen what Arsenal have planned for the remaining weeks of the summer transfer window, with the Community Shield against Manchester City taking place next weekend before the Premier League campaign gets underway at home to Coventry City the following week.
