Liverpool transfer news as shock Bradley Barcola hijack claim emerges
Liverpool remain locked in talks to sign Bradley Barcola from PSG.
The Frenchman is expected to return to Paris this week to resume pre-season training and it remains to be seen what Luis Enrique does with him as the two clubs continue negotiations.
Barcola has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and wants to play in the Premier League again.
PSG value him at around £145m, which would make him the most expensive player in Premier League history.
There has been a lot of chatter about his potential move to Anfield, but now, reports from England claim Arsenal are prepared to enter the race to secure his signature.
Arsenal could hijack Liverpool’s Bradley Barcola move
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal are now ‘firmly’ in the conversation and have already made contact with Barcola’s representatives to test the waters over a potential transfer.
The Gunners were interested in signing Vinicius Jr and were willing to break the bank to secure his signature.
There were reports that Arsenal were willing to make the Brazilian international the highest-paid player in the club’s history to make the transfer happen.
However, it wasn’t to be, as he renewed his contract with Real Madrid earlier this year.

And now, Arsenal have entered the race for Barcola, although the report confirms that Liverpool still lead the race.
The Reds, however, can’t waste too much time as Arsenal’s interest is genuine, so they need to agree a fee and complete the transfer or risk getting their move hijacked.
