Liverpool could be set for a busy end to the summer transfer window after striking a deal to sign Ronald Araujo from Barcelona. He is widely expected to join the Reds on loan until the end of the season to ease their defensive injury crisis. Virgil van Dijk is currently the only fit centre-back on Liverpool's books with Jeremy Jacquet, Joe Gomez and Giovanni Leoni all nursing problems.
The deal to sign Araujo reportedly includes a £47million option, rather than an obligation, for Liverpool to buy him next summer. The Reds will also try and sign a new winger before the window closes to replace Mohamed Salah, who left at the end of last season. Bradley Barcola continues to be linked with the Anfield giants, but he isn't the only big name being mooted.
Barcola is thought to remain firmly on Liverpool's radar, although a deal could reportedly cost as much as £127m. However, PSG could be tempted to reduce that asking price if they manage to sign Barcelona forward Ferran Torres.
The former Manchester City man has reportedly informed Barcelona chiefs that he wants to leave the Nou Camp and complete a move to PSG this summer.
This could potentially free up Barcola to join Liverpool, who may need to fend off competition from Arsenal to secure his signature.
Liverpool have also been tipped to secure the services of Mbaye, who scored within two minutes during PSG's friendly against Manchester United this weekend.
Caught Offside are reporting that contact has already been made with the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, regarding a potential move to Anfield.

However, it remains to be seen if PSG would be prepared to lose Mbaye in addition to Barcola before the summer window slams shut.
Cody Gakpo has been tentatively linked with a move away from Anfield in recent weeks, with Tottenham thought to be interested in signing him.
According to talkSPORT, the Reds will resist any bids for the Dutchman unless they sign two new wingers. It's also claimed that a price tag of around £72m has been placed on Gakpo this summer.
This suggests that an exit could materialise if Liverpool manage to land both Barcola and Mbaye, with any potential move likely to be dependent on incomings.
