Liverpool attacker could now leave after not playing single minute vs Monaco

**Liverpool succumbed to their second defeat in pre-season as they were beaten 3-2 by Monaco at Anfield.**

Andoni Iraola won’t care too much about the result, but overall, it was an unhappy first home outing for the Spaniard.

Liverpool started well and took a 2-0 lead through Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, but Monaco struck back through Aleksandr Golovin, Mika Biereth and Paris Brunner to win the game away from home.

Iraola made a raft of changes and used the entirety of his squad in terms of outfielders, barring one player: Kieran Morrison.

Morrison has been one of Liverpool’s bright sparks in pre-season and also scored a goal in the 4-2 win against Sunderland in Nashville.

However, Liverpool have a bunch of senior options in attack and are also in talks to sign Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, so it remains to be seen if he gets any game time next season.

Jack Lusby reports that Morrison could now be sent out on loan after being an unused substitute vs Monaco, with the young attacker attracting interest from a host of countries across Europe.

> Interest from clubs in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and the Championship. I'd expect a loan.
