Super Eagles target Tosin Adarabioyo featured for the entire duration as Chelsea played out a 3-3 draw against Johor Darul Ta'zim FC despite speculation linking the Nigerian-eligible defender with a move to Benfica.
Tosin, who joined the Blues as a free agent from Fulham, was deployed at the heart of the defence alongside young defenders Aaron Anselmino and Olutayo Subulayo.
Despite playing alongside an inexperienced defensive pairing, the experienced centre-back produced a decent performance in Malaysia, making four clearances and four recoveries.
Aside from his defensive contributions, Tosin also made an impact going forward, recording two shots on target as Chelsea scored three goals.
A brace from former Ipswich striker Liam Delap and an own goal from Antonio Cristian helped the Blues secure a share of the spoils.
The Super Eagles-eligible defender has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after struggling to establish himself as a regular since joining Chelsea from Fulham in the summer of 2024.
The former Manchester City defender has reportedly attracted interest from Benfica, with the Portuguese club seen as a possible destination where he could reunite with his former Fulham manager Marco Silva.
