Trevoh Chalobah has completed his move from Chelsea to Italian side Como in a deal understood to be worth more than £30million.
England defender Chalobah departs Stamford Bridge for a reported fee of £25.7million, with a further £5.1m due in potential add-ons.
The 27-year-old has signed a contract until 2031 with the Serie A club, who are managed by former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas and are preparing for their first season in the Champions League.

Chalobah made 151 appearances for the Blues, including 47 last term, after joining the club’s academy at under-nine level.
Como head coach Fabregas told his club’s website: “Trevoh is an important signing for us and a player who represents the level of ambition we have at this club.
“He has competed and won at the highest level, but he is also hungry to begin a new chapter and continue improving.
“He gives us strength, speed and personality in defence, as well as the technical quality to build from the back. He is a leader who can raise the level of the team, and I am very happy that he has chosen Como.”
Chalobah twice lifted the Club World Cup and was also part of squads that won the FA Cup in 2018 and Conference League in 2025 during his time in west London, which included loan spells with Ipswich, Huddersfield, Lorient and Crystal Palace.

He was part of England’s World Cup squad this summer after being called up as an injury replacement for Tino Livramento and came on as a late substitute in the 6-4 third-place play-off win over France.
Chalobah said: “I’m thrilled and honoured to be here at Como. It’s an ambitious, rising project and working with manager Cesc Fabregas again is truly special.
“I can’t wait to bring my experience to the team, feel the incredible atmosphere at the stadium, and connect with the fans. I will give my absolute all every single day to make history together”.
While Chalobah was finalising his move, Liam Delap scored his first goals since January as Chelsea drew 3-3 in a friendly with Malaysian champions Johor Darul Ta’zim.

Delap converted penalties either side of half-time before a late own goal from Antonio Glauder prevented defeat in the final match of the Blues’ summer tour of Australia and Asia.
The forward, who joined from Ipswich in 2025, scored just two goals in 41 appearances across all competitions last season.
Manager Xabi Alonso selected an entirely different XI to the one which started Saturday’s 3-0 win over AC Milan in Jakarta, with 21-year-old Portuguese midfielder Dario Essugo named captain.
Mamadou Sarr was a late withdrawal ahead of kick-off, while fellow defender Aaron Anselmino suffered an injury during the match.
