Arsenal also want him: Man Utd make enquiry for 21yo left-back, £30m price set

Manchester United have submitted an enquiry for Club Brugge left-back Joaquin Seys, according to The Sun.

Seys has also caught the attention of Premier League rivals Arsenal and Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old has rapidly established himself as a key figure for Club Brugge after making the leap from their reserve side to the first team.

The Belgium international made his senior debut in 2023 and has already racked up 97 appearances for the Belgian giants.

He enjoyed a breakout 2025-26 campaign, registering five goals and eight assists in 55 appearances across all competitions.

Primarily a left-footed full-back, Seys has emerged as one of the most exciting young defenders in Belgian football.

His rapid rise has also earned him six senior Belgium caps, and he was also included in their FIFA World Cup squad.

He is a modern, athletic full-back with the ability to cover a lot of ground.

Seys could also provide cover at right-back but is more comfortable when playing on his favoured left side.

Club Brugge are in no rush to sell, with the defender still having three years remaining on his contract and the Belgian club reportedly demanding €35 million (£30m).

United are actively searching for a new left-back this summer as they look to strengthen a position that remains a concern.

Luke Shaw started every Premier League game last season, but expecting him to maintain that remarkable availability across another gruelling campaign would be a huge gamble.

Harry Amass remains highly rated at academy level, but United are reportedly prepared to consider offers of just £6m for the teenager this summer.

Seys could be an exciting addition but he will need time to adapt to the higher intensity of football in England.
