Packers Sign Former LSU Wide Receiver Chris Hilton Jr.
As Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports, the Packers have claimed Chris Hilton Jr. off waivers.
Many believe the LSU un-drafted free agent is likely to compete for a practice squad spot, however, some think he could make a lasting impression on the coaching staff. Injuries to Jayden Reed (ankle) and Matthew Golden (toe) will likely open up all preseason reps to any receiver on the roster.

Despite playing in four different pre-draft all-star games (Shrine Bowl, American Bowl, East-West, Hula Bowl, and Senior Bowl) and receiving a combine invitation, Hilton went un-drafted in the 2026 class. His 40-yard dash time was 4.41 seconds at the combine this year. He measured in at 6’0″-flat and 188 pounds.
While he had 41 receptions for 780 yards and six touchdowns in his career in the SEC, the former high school All-American only recorded 10 receptions for 122 yards as a redshirt senior. LSU struggled to throw the ball after quarterback Garrett Nussmeier sustained an abs injury, limiting his performance.
