The latest Premier League transfer news as Arsenal, Aston Villa, Everton and more race to land summer deals
The 2026/27 Premier League season is just eleven days away, and excitement is starting to build as the big kick-off nears. It’s set to be an enthralling, unpredictable campaign, with nine of the division’s clubs starting off with a new manager at the wheel - including heavyweights such as Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Away from the playing field, the summer transfer window is in full swing, and clubs are racing to get the majority of their business done before the new season begins. They’ll still have time to complete some late deals after that, however, with the window remaining open until 11pm on September 1st.
Today’s transfer rumour round-up begins at Goodison Park, where Everton have been linked with a new full-back. According to Team Talk, both the Toffees and Fulham are in the hunt for Barcelona prospect Hector Fort, who has supposedly been told he can leave the Camp Nou this summer. The 20-year-old is renowned for his positional flexibility, and is capable of playing across the back line.
It’s said that Fort, who is also believed to be on Inter’s radar, could be allowed to leave permanently or on loan, and both Everton and Fulham are looking to get a deal done. It’s noted that the Toffees are fairly far down the line in their pursuit of Celtic right-back Alistair Johnson, but they could well also look to sign Fort, so as to allow them to let £12m flop Nathan Patterson leave.
The 3AM Verdict: Fort had a decent spell on loan a Elche last season, and could be available on the cheap for around £8.5m. That would be a pretty low cost gamble for Everton to make on a promising young player, and you’d imagine he’d serve as a decent understudy to Johnson if that deal happens too.
Aston Villa could seal Endrick loan deal

Next up, it’s over to Villa Park, where Aston Villa are looking to bolster their attacking options after losing star man Morgan Rogers to Chelsea in a £117m deal. A report from Talk Sport claims Unai Emery’s side could launch a loan move to sign Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick, who excelled during a spell with Lyon last season where he scored eight goals and provided as many assists.
In the report, it’s also said that Roma are keen on signing the 20-year-old gem, who is capable of leading the attacking line or playing in a wider role. Given the wealth of attacking talent on show for Real - including new £120m signing Yan Diomande - first team opportunities are set to be slim for Endrick next season, and the player is said to be keen to leave and avoid his career stagnating.
The 3AM Verdict: Carlo Ancelotti might have used him sparingly during the World Cup, but Endrick is a seriously exciting talent who could light up the Premier League. Villa could do with numbers both in the strikers department and on the wings, and a short-term move for Endrick could help remedy the issue for this season at least without breaking the bank.

Finishing things up, the race to sign PSG’s £130m sensation Bradley Barcola looks to have taken a twist, with Give Me Sport reporting that Arsenal are ready to blow Liverpool out of the water to sign the France international. They say that while the Gunners don’t want to pay PSG’s asking price, they could still be willing to part with a significant sum of cash to beat the Reds to his signing.
Barcola is not a regular starter at PSG, with superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia the main man in his position. Due to this issue, he’s said to be ready to move on and seek a new challenge. It’s claimed that suggestions of Liverpool agreeing a fee in principle with the Ligue 1 giants is wide of the mark, with the Reds still put off by their hefty valuation of the 23-year-old.
The 3AM Verdict: Liverpool fans who reacted with glee at Arsenal missing out on Vinicius Junior may have to eat some humble pie come the end of the window. Snatching Barcola would be a real coup for the Gunners, and if Liverpool end up with just Victor Munoz andpotentially Ibrahim Mbaye as their new wingers, then they’ve really messed things up this summer.
