Hello everyone and welcome to the ECHO's Liverpool transfer blog.

Sunday saw the Reds fall to their second consecutive pre-season defeat, losing 3-2 to Monaco at Anfield.

The Reds were in control of the tie thanks to goals from Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz before a much-changed Liverpool side capitulated in the second half.

The game drew parallels with the friendly defeat to Leeds in the USA last week and it's given Andoni Iraola much to ponder over his new side.

Onto transfers and Ronaldo Araujo is expected to join the club on a season-long loan as Iraola seeks to ease his defensive woes. Meanwhile, Arsenal are said to be in for PSG winger, and long-term Reds target Bradley Barcola, while the Reds' pursuit of the Frenchman has been questioned.

Stick with us for all the latest transfer news and gossip as it breaks throughout the day.
