We're well and truly into the final month of the transfer window, and with the start of the Premier League season now less than a fortnight away, clubs are beginning to run out of time. The window is expected to heat up across the next week or so, and mega money is likely to be spent on big-name players from across the continent. Liverpool are still on the lookout for a Mohamed Salah replacement, with Bradley Barcola continuing to be linked with a move.
Manchester United are believed to be exploring options in the attacking and defensive departments, with Arsenal also keen to add more quality to their forward line. With the future of Rodri still up in the air, Manchester City are expected to be busy across the final couple of weeks of the window. They could look to target a couple of Chelsea players, with the west Londoners believed to have a number of players they're open to selling.
Liverpool are said to be close to announcing a deal for Ronald Araujo.
The World Cup ace emerged as an option for the Reds in defence and has agreed to join the 2024/25 Premier League champions.
Araujo will join on an initial loan, but Liverpool do have an option to make it permanent.
Andoni Iraola had just one fully fit senior centre back available to him in pre-season.
And over the weekend, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick confirmed Araujo was on the move.
The German remarked: “I saw him this morning and I said goodbye and I think he was very happy and Liverpool is also a fantastic club. I wish him all the best because he deserves it."

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for David Raum.
The ultra-attacking left back has emerged as a genuine alternative to Lewis Hall.
United had been hopeful of signing the Newcastle man, but were told a deal wouldn't be possible this month.
As such, as per The Athletic, United have turned their attention to Raum.
The RB Leipzig man is known for his attacking endeavour, with talk of his release clause being in the region of £30million.
That's because Raum is in the final year of his contract and RB Leipzig are at risk of losing the 28-year-old on a free transfer.

Arsenal have reportedly contacted Bradley Barcola's camp.
The Gunners had been hoping to land a stunning move for Vinicius Junior before the Real Madrid ace signed a new contract.
As such, the north Londoners have turned their attention to Barcola, with contact having been made with his camp, as per TeamTALK.
The 23-year-old is looking to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, having failed to establish a position in the starting XI.
PSG are firm in their valuation of £128million, and they are said to have been influenced by several big-money moves to Premier League clubs this season.
Liverpool are still said to be the most advanced, but PSG have made it clear no firm offer has been aubmitted just yet.
