Former Liverpool coach Roderick van der Ham has taken up a new role at Borussia Dortmund, joining the Bundesliga side as their new Head of Analysis.
Liverpool finished last season in fifth place to secure Champions League football, although their campaign proved a difficult one as defending Premier League champions.
At the end of the season, after registering just 17 league wins, Arne Slot was sacked following two full seasons in charge of the club.
Upon the Dutchman’s arrival in 2024, he was joined by a number of members of staff, including first-team tactical analyst Van der Ham, who arrived towards the end of the year.
Before his move to Merseyside, Van der Ham spent two full seasons working alongside the Dutch boss at Feyenoord.
The analyst’s 18-month spell at Liverpool came to an end earlier this summer when he announced his departure from Anfield following a series of new appointments made under Andoni Iraola’s guidance.
Van der Ham has now confirmed that he has joined Borussia Dortmund’s backroom staff under manager Niko Kovac.

Van der Ham departs with a wealth of experience behind him, having worked with the Netherlands Under-19s, NAC Breda and Heracles Almelo, as well as Feyenoord and Liverpool.
In his stead, the Reds have brought in Tom Webber, who joins from Bournemouth after spending three years working alongside the new Liverpool boss, with previous experience at Birmingham City and Leicester City.
With Liverpool continuing their pre-season preparations, Iraola’s side will be looking to bounce back from yesterday’s 3-2 defeat to Monaco when they face Como at Anfield on Sunday.
