Bruno Guimaraes trained alongside his new Arsenal team-mates on Sunday after the club's 3-2 friendly defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
The Brazilian was in attendance at the Emirates Stadium for the first time since sealing his £75million transfer from Newcastle.
Arsenal could have utilised his character in the centre of the pitch as they were overrun by their German opponents.
While Guimaraes wore jeans and trainers as he entered the pitch pre-kick-off, it appears he did actually dust off his boots.
Footage posted on TikTok shows Guimaraes training with Arsenal on the grass after the match, as some of the squad participated in a light session to boost fitness levels.

Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira, who were second-half subs, were among those present and it's something Arsenal have previously been known to do in years gone by.
The majority of supporters had obviously gone home by this point, so they were unable to see Guimaraes in action, though he looks poised to make his debut on Wednesday against Como.
Speaking after the game, boss Mikel Arteta shared his delight over Arsenal's latest acquisition, explaining: "I'm delighted to have him. Why? Well, we see very clearly, especially the energy that he brought immediately to the training ground, the hunger, the desire to come here and create a big history at the club.
"And that's the ambition that we need. We want to go to the next level and very, very much convinced that we're going to need players with such a personality, desire and character to push everybody inside the organisation to go even higher."
Arteta was also quizzed on Guimaraes labelling himself a warrior, to which he replied: "Well, I think he's proved that. I think not many people would question associating him with that word. So we know what he's going to bring to the club."
Due to Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice's involvement in the latter stages of the World Cup, there is a strong chance Guimaraes could well start the Community Shield and Arsenal's Premier League opener against Coventry City.
He will need a small period of time to adapt to Arteta's tactical demands but there can be no doubt that he is a ready-made 'plug-and-play' signing for the Gunners.
