**Liverpool have a lot of work to do in the transfer window before it slams shut later this month.**
Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz have joined the club, while Ronald Araujo’s loan deal from Barcelona is set to be confirmed today.
The Reds also remain in talks to sign Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola, after which focus could shift to sales.
Players on the fringes of the squad are expected to be moved on before the transfer deadline.
And Wataru Endo could end up on the chopping block after falling out of favour under Andoni Iraola.
The Japanese international picked up an injury towards the back end of last season, which led to him missing the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Endo then announced his retirement from international football, which was another big blow for the player.
And now, Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider has confirmed that the Reds are open to offloading him this summer and have sounded out clubs to make them aware of his availability.
He wrote on X: “Liverpool are open to offers for Wataru Endo before the close of the window and have made clubs aware of his availability.”
Liverpool have Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister as quality options in the centre of the park, while Trey Nyoni has proved that he is more than capable of being a good enough squad player at the very least.
Endo’s versatility is a key factor, but if a decent offer comes along, a mutual separation would be in the best interests of everyone involved.
