Liverpool talks ongoing for player Sadio Mane called"exceptional"wants Anfield transfer

**PSG forward Ibrahim Mbaye is interested in joining Liverpool this summer despite reportedly being the subject of growing interest from other clubs.**

The 18-year-old is still a raw talent but would be an absolute steal for Liverpool, particularly under a manager like Andoni Iraola.

The Spaniard became one of the most highly rated Premier League coaches in the three years he spent on the south coast with Bournemouth, with his penchant for nurturing young talents one of the reasons that inspired FSG to name him as Arne Slot’s successor when the Dutchman received the sack after the conclusion of last season.

The likes of Eli Junior Kroupi and Rayan exploded into prominence under Iraola’s guidance last season, and there is the hope that he can do the same for the likes of Rio Ngumoha and Lewis Koumas, while Mbaye would likely face a similar upward trajectory at Anfield.

Ibrahim Mbaye open to Liverpool transfer if deal can be agreed with PSG amid Bradley Barcola talks

[Since Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport broke the news that Mbaye is a target for the Reds](https://live4liverpool.com/liverpool-transfer-news-psg-forward-keen-on-anfield-move-as-jorge-mendes-holds-talks/), links to the Senegal star have gone a bit quiet, but [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/liverpool/ibrahim-mbayes-stance-on-liverpool-move-revealed-as-clubs-push-to-agree-deal) has a new claim about the teenager’s stance on joining Liverpool.

According to Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke: _“Liverpool are trying to put themselves in a position where they could be frontrunners for Ibrahim Mbaye._

_“Bayer Leverkusen in Germany have been the ones who have been pushing for the Senegal attacker this summer, but Liverpool have shown their cards and made their interest known._

_“It does now seem the player would be open to the opportunity to move to England and to Anfield as well, because he wants to play in the Premier League and test himself at the highest level._

_“There is a bit of a battle for his signature right now, and PSG would possibly let him move on with the plethora of attackers that they’ve got in their star-studded side.”_

Mbaye is unlikely to be a starter at Liverpool, but Iraola will need mutiple wingers to rotate on each wing, which is something the 18-year-old might be resistant to, but given how limited his options are at PSG, it could be done.

Sadio Mane had glowing words to share about Mbaye when he spoke about his compatriot before the AFCON final this year, which Senegal lost 3-0. Mbaye came on for 20 minutes at the end of the game.

Mane said: _“Seventeen years old and at this level, I think it’s impressive. He has a bright future ahead of him. We will try to help him find the right rhythm so that he can help us even more, because he is an exceptional player.”_
