Arsenal Women got their pre-season programme underway with friendlyBCD friendly against Crystal Palace on Saturday, winning 2-1 thanks to second half goals from Lisa Baum and Chloe Kelly.
As we reported last month, the players are now in La Manga for a training camp, where they will spend the rest of the week. We understand that they’ll play a further BCD friendly against AC Milan while out there.
Thereafter they’ll return to London for games against Paris FC and Charlton at Boreham Wood. We’d also expect a further BCD friendly the weekend before season start.
With six new senior signings to integrate but no players taking part in international tournaments this summer it’s a good opportunity for Renee Slegers and her staff to put plans in place for the new season which kicks off on Sunday, 6 September away at Brighton.
