Spaniard absolutely delighted after OFFICIAL Chelsea deal signed, sealed and ANNOUNCED!

Como head coach Cesc Fàbregas has expressed his delight after the Italian club completed the signing of Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea, adding the England defender to an ambitious squad preparing for another season at the top level.

Chalobah completed his permanent move to Como on Sunday, ending an association with Chelsea that stretched back almost two decades. The 27-year-old signed a five-year contract with the Serie A club, with the transfer reported to be worth around €30 million ($34.7 million), potentially rising with add-ons.

The defender joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of eight and progressed through the club’s youth system before establishing himself in the senior side. He made 47 appearances in all competitions during the previous season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

Fàbregas played an important role in convincing Chalobah to make the move to Italy, with the defender acknowledging that the Como coach wanted him as part of the club’s plans. The pair previously shared the CHELSEA environment, and Fàbregas’ vision for Como is understood to have been an important factor in the player’s decision

Como 1907 Head Coach Cesc Fàbregas said: “Trevoh is an important signing for us and a player who represents the level of ambition we have at this club. He has competed and won at the highest level, but he is also hungry to begin a new chapter and continue improving.

“He gives us strength, speed and personality in defence, as well as the technical quality to build from the back. He is a leader who can raise the level of the team, and I am very happy that he has chosen Como.”

For Chalobah, the transfer represents a major new chapter after a career spent largely within the CHELSEA system. He spent loan spells with Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, Lorient and Crystal Palace before establishing himself as a first-team option at Stamford Bridge.

His versatility is expected to be particularly valuable to Como, with the defender capable of operating centrally as well as providing an option at right-back
