Fears are mounting regarding a potentially serious injury suffered by a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona on Monday.
This comes amid reports that Roony Bardghji was carried out of a pre-season training session on a stretcher.
Youngster Bardghji has for his part endured a difficult last couple of days in Catalunya’s capital. After taking full part in Barcelona’s pre-season schedule, the 20-year-old, at the last minute, was left out of Hansi Flick’s travelling squad for a mini tournament in Italy over the weekend.
Bardghji was subsequently informed that he does not feature in the Blaugrana’s plans for the campaign ahead.
And as alluded to above, less than 48 hours later, the Swede has been dealt another setback. As per a report from journalist Carlos Monfort of Diario Sport:
‘Possible serious injury to Roony Bardghji in today’s training. It just happened a few moments ago. The footballer has left the pitch in tears.’
An official Barcelona statement is expected to follow in short order, amid fears that Bardghji has suffered a ruptured ACL.
