Arsenal have reportedly joined the race for Chelsea winger Pedro Neto as Mikel Arteta continues to search for another major attacking addition before the transfer window closes.
The Gunners have explored several wide options this summer after missing out on Morgan Rogers, Vinicius Junior and other leading targets, while Gabriel Martinelli’s future has also become uncertain.
Chelsea reporter Si Phillips has now claimed Arsenal are genuinely interested in Neto, although the Portugal international is not currently viewed as their priority target.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Phillips said he had been told by a source over the weekend that Arsenal were among the clubs showing interest.
TEAMtalk reports that Chelsea would be willing to consider selling Neto for the right price, with a figure around the £70million mark potentially required to convince the Blues to do business.

Neto would represent a very different option to some of the players Arsenal have pursued this summer.
The 26-year-old is left-footed and has predominantly operated from the right, where Bukayo Saka remains Arteta’s undisputed first choice. Arsenal’s search has generally focused on finding another high-level option for the opposite flank, although Neto’s ability to play across the attack would provide additional flexibility.
His Premier League experience could also appeal to Arsenal as they prepare to defend their title.
Neto joined Chelsea from Wolves in 2024 and has since established himself as an important attacking option at Stamford Bridge. Phillips says the winger is not actively pushing to leave Chelsea, but is open to considering the significant interest developing around him.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham have also been linked with moves.
Arsenal’s interest arrives at an especially interesting moment after another development involving Martinelli.
ReadArsenal reported earlier today that Arsenal will not sanction Martinelli’s departure until another left-sided attacker has been signed, amid claims Galatasaray have made a £34m offer for the Brazilian.
Arteta therefore still has several moving pieces to resolve across his forward line.
There is no suggestion Arsenal have made an offer for Neto or opened negotiations with Chelsea, and Phillips stressed that the winger is not currently being prioritised.
The emergence of Arsenal as an interested club nevertheless adds another name to a widening search for attacking reinforcements before the window closes.
