Welcome to 's live coverage of the Carabao Cup second round draw. The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham, Leeds and Newcastle all enter the draw as 11 Premier League sides join the competition following the conclusion of the first round.
Those sides join 35 winners from the first round, with the draw being conducted ahead of Plymouth Argyle's clash against Exeter City. The likes of Charlton, West Brom and Sheffield United have already earned their places in the hat.
Sky Sports presenter and former Southampton and Nottingham Forest midfielder David Prutton hosts the draw at approximately 7.20pm, with pundits Jobi McAnuff and Jamie Mackie joining him. Ties will be played in the week beginning August 24th as teams face their first fight of the season to keep dreams of silverware alive.
For the moment, draws remain regionalised into northern and southern sections. Seeding does not come into play until the third round, meaning Chelsea and Tottenham could face each other after not qualifying for European competition.
