Arsenal U21s learn 2026/27 Premier League 2 schedule

Arsenal U21s have discovered their 2026/27 Premier League 2 fixtures.

The Gunners finished 14th during the regular season last term, qualifying for the play-offs, where they lost 3-1 to Manchester City in the first round.

Arsenal have not won the competition since 2017/18, when their squad featured Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe, all of whom went on to feature for the first team.

The young Gunners remain without a head coach following Max Porter’s departure for Stoke City last month. The club will be hoping for a better campaign next season.

The 2026/27 PL2 campaign will adopt a new format, with the division now consisting of 31 teams.

There are three tiers, based on the average league finishing positions over the past three seasons. Each team will play 20 league matches, with 10 at home and 10 away.

The top 16 teams qualify for the play-offs, while teams finishing between 17th and 24th, alongside the top eight clubs from the Professional Development League (Category 2), will enter into a separate play-off.

Arsenal start the 2026/27 campaign at home against Crystal Palace at the Mangata Pay UK Stadium on August 22, four days after facing Barnet in the EFL Trophy.

Arsenal travel to Brighton & Hove Albion in their first away fixture on August 31, before hosting Chelsea at home on September 12.

The north London side host Manchester City on December 20 and travel to face Tottenham Hotspur on February 5. Their fixture against Liverpool is scheduled for March 20.
