Gabriel Martinelli reportedly wants to remain at Arsenal despite growing interest from Galatasaray and uncertainty surrounding his future at the Emirates Stadium.
The Brazil international has become the subject of serious transfer interest during the final weeks of the summer window. Galatasaray have approached Arsenal as they look to strengthen their attack.
However, Martinelli’s own preference appears clear.
The latest update shared by AFC Xtra says the winger wants to stay at Arsenal rather than seek a move away this summer. A separate report says Martinelli intends to fight for his place in Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Martinelli’s position adds another complication to a transfer situation which has developed quickly over the past 24 hours.
ReadArsenal reported earlier today that Galatasaray had made a move worth around £34million for Martinelli. Arsenal’s stance was that the Brazilian would not be allowed to leave unless another left-sided attacker arrived first.
The 25-year-old has entered the final year of his current contract, although Arsenal hold an option to extend that agreement by another season. His preference is understood to be continuing in north London rather than actively pushing for an exit.
Competition for his position has increased following the arrival of Christos Tzolis. Arsenal are also continuing to assess other attacking options before the window closes.
ReadArsenal reported this afternoon that Arsenal are interested in Chelsea winger Pedro Neto, although the Portugal international is not currently viewed as a priority signing.
Martinelli now faces a fight to regain a regular starting place under Arteta, but the Brazilian appears prepared to accept that challenge.
Galatasaray’s interest could still develop if Arsenal decide to sell and secure a replacement. For now, Martinelli appears to have little intention of forcing his way out of the Emirates.
