Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has received interest from three Italian clubs this summer, according to his agent Giovanni Branchini.
The Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order at the Gunners, and he is presently the third-choice striker behind Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz.
Jesus has entered the last year of his Arsenal deal, but the Premier League champions are still holding out for £20 million to part ways with his services.
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport today, Branchini revealed that three Italian clubs have approached him over a possible summer deal for Jesus.
He added that his trip to Napoli was unrelated to Jesus, and the Serie A heavyweights have yet to approach the Brazilian star or the Gunners.
In recent days, there has been interest from the Super Lig in Jesus, but Branchini clarified that his client has snubbed offers from two Turkish clubs.
Jesus, described as ‘special‘ by manager Mikel Arteta, has no desire to move to Turkey.
The 29-year-old recently emerged as a target for Besiktas. The Istanbul outfit signed Leandro Trossard from Arsenal and were said to be pursuing Jesus too.
However, Branchini has made it clear that the Brazilian has no interest in moving to Turkey, which has closed the door on a possible reunion with Trossard.
It now appears clear that Jesus could be Italy-bound. His agent did not reveal specific names, but AC Milan and Juventus were linked with him earlier this year.
The Rossoneri and Bianconeri have signed marquee strikers in Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani respectively, but could be open to pursuing another experienced option.
Similarly, Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri may want a striking partner for Rasmus Hojlund in a 3-5-2 system next term, considering Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca could leave soon.
Lukaku is on the radar of Fenerbahce, and an agreement is getting closer. Lucca, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, could likewise be offloaded.
Alongside the duo, Napoli are actively looking to sell winger Noa Lang. Ajax have identified him as a possible target if Paris Saint-Germain were to strike an agreement to land Mika Godts.
Those three departures could pave the way for Jesus’ arrival in Naples. Jesus has ‘fully embraced’ the idea of joining Napoli, and they could emerge as the likely destination for the striker.
