Bo Nix is confident that he will just be fine on the field after suffering a fractured ankle injury in the 2025 NFL season. The Broncos star quarterback is also constantly being asked about his status, regardless of how many times he's already addressed it.
When asked about such persistent questions, the former Oregon Ducks star signal-caller said that people can just observe him when he gets down to work on the field as the Broncos prepare for the upcoming 2026 campaign.
“I don't know, to be honest with you, because if I said it was great and perfect, they'd still be asking me. So I don't know if there's an answer that anybody wants to know. I guess they just have to see me go out on the field and play and get to the playoffs again, and then they'll know it's okay,” Nix told Kay Adams on the Up & Adams Show.
“But I feel just fine. I feel great, and it's nothing that I haven't been through before. I have a little bit of experience with a broken ankle, and like bones heal better than anything else. So I'm in great shape, and I feel really strong and comfortable with it. We've done a great job with our rehab and with treatment, and I feel like I'm in a good spot and honestly going to use training camp as the ramp back up. I think by the time September 14th gets here. We'll be back to as good as new.”
Nix suffered the injury in the closing moments of a divisional-round loss to the Buffalo Bills, putting his status for the 2026 season in jeopardy. He sat out the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots, who defeated the Broncos and went on to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, which was ultimately won by the Seattle Seahawks.
Perhaps there is only one way to erase people's doubts on Nix's injury status, and that is for him to be there under center come Week 1 of the 2026 season against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
