Arsenal remain intent on strengthening their squad in the final weeks of the transfer market. Manager Mikel Arteta will have a clear idea of how he wishes to improve his side as the Gunners aim to win back-to-back Premier League titles.
Winger Christos Tzolis and midfielder Bruno Guimaraes are Arsenal’s marquee new arrivals so far. However, as the club’s recent pursuit of Vinicius Junior shows, Arteta still wants to add to his team.
“Well, that's what we're trying to do,” Arteta said when asked about new signings. “If we have the right player in the market to make us much better. We are very looking forward to that.”
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, while Gunners star Gabriel Martinelli is a target for Turkish giants Galatasaray. Here, Mirror Football look at some of the biggest stories surrounding the club.
Kenan Yildiz stance clear
Juventus are reportedly unwilling to sell Yildiz, who has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer. The 21-year-old emerged as another potential option for Arsenal after Vinicius signed a new deal with Real Madrid.
However, Tutto Juve reports that Yildiz is “considered unsellable” by the Italian club. Arsenal are claimed to have significant interest but Juventus want to “build the new team” around the Turkey international.
The club’s stance is reportedly unchanged from when the Gunners made an initial approach for Yildiz in June. Arteta’s side were also linked with the forward last summer, with Juventus previously valuing him at around £85m.
In February, the left winger signed a fresh contract until 2030. Yildiz scored 10 and assisted seven goals in 36 Serie A games last season.

Arsenal in talks over Gabriel Martinelli move
Arsenal are in talks with Galatasaray over a possible deal for Gabriel Martinelli. The 25-year-old has entered the last year of his Gunners contract.
football.london reports that Arsenal are negotiating over a fee with Galatasaray, who expressed their interest in Martinelli’s over the weekend. However, it is added that the forward’s potential exit will not be sanctioned until the Gunners have brought in a replacement.
The Brazilian lost his starting place to Leandro Trossard last term, who joined Besiktas earlier this summer. The club have already brought in Tzolis on the left flank and continue to be linked with other wide targets, such as Yildiz.
