Newcastle United transfer target Fikayo Tomori is almost certain to “pack his bags” and leave AC Milan before the transfer window closes, according to reports in Italy.
Quotidiano Sportivo claims that the centre-back is set to “pack his bags”, having been left on the bench for the 3-0 friendly defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.
Tomori has less than a year left on his contract, and there is zero prospect of the centre-back getting a renewal.

The 28-year-old won’t be short of suitors if he does leave the San Siro over the coming weeks.
Quotidiano Sportivo report that the Magpies, Liverpool and Coventry City have all “knocked” on the door to register their interest in Tomori.
Coventry are managed by Frank Lampard, who worked with the defender at Derby County and Chelsea, so it is not a surprise that they would be keen on him.
However, Liverpool are unlikely to follow up with a formal bid, with the Reds having secured the signature of Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo on loan.
Do Newcastle United need another centre-half?
The Magpies are not short of options in the middle of defence, with the likes of Malick Thiaw, Sven Botman, Fabian Schar and Dan Burn all available to head coach Matthias Jaissle.
However, Botman has had his fair share of injury problems over the years, while Schar and Burn are both the wrong side of 30, so there is justification for bringing in someone like Tomori, who is unlikely to cost a lot of money due to his contract situation.
