Chelsea fans do not have to worry about Enzo Fernandez going on strike or anything like that.
It is clear that Fernandez’s preference is to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, but the Blues have priced him out of a move.
It is thought that Chelsea have slapped a £120m price tag on the midfielder, which has scared off suitors, namely Real Madrid.
Even so, his relationship with the club does not seem to have completely deteriorated.

According to The Athletic, Fernandez was actually at Cobham on Monday despite not having to report for training until Wednesday following his participation at this year’s World Cup final.
A footballer who is willing to go all out to force a move away from his club would not be visiting their training ground early. In fact, he may not go there at all and go on strike instead, yet Fernandez has already been at Cobham and is expected to train this Wednesday.
Considering that, the 25-year-old could feature in Chelsea’s last pre-season game, which is against Real Sociedad this Saturday. After that, the Club World Cup holders take on Fulham in their first Premier League match of the 2026/27 campaign.

If Fernandez is available, Alonso should use him. There is no reason not to.
The Argentine is a Chelsea employee under contract until 2032 and is one of the best players in the squad. The aim will be three points, and playing Fernandez gives Chelsea greater chance of achieving that.
If Fernandez does end up leaving west London this summer, Chelsea could move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Fabian Ruiz. The Blues are thought to have the Spain star on their radar.
However, things are starting to point towards Fernandez starting, which is great news for Alonso. The Argentina international is one of the best midfielders in world football.
