Chelsea are open to loan offers for winger Mykhailo Mudryk after his return to competitive football, football.london understands.

Mudryk has plenty of interest in his signature ahead of the new season starting, with at least three Premier League clubs having enquired. Coventry City are one one of the three English top-flight clubs holding a keen interest, with manager Frank Lampard having previous with Mudryk during their days together at Stamford Bridge.

Strasbourg is also an option for Mudryk with Chelsea able to send one more player on loan to their sister club following Genesis Antwi and Filip Jorgensen's moves. FIFA rules state that a maximum of three players can move to a specific club on loan from another side at any given time. New signing Dastan Satpayev could move to the French club.

Towards the end of last month, the FA confirmed that Mudryk was free to return to Chelsea again with disciplinary proceedings against the Ukrainian being resolved. The 25-year-old wide man has not played a competitive game since November 2024 after testing positive for meldonium. However, a change was made by WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) to the scientific reporting standards used by accredited anti-doping laboratories when analysing samples for meldonium.

Simply put: if Mudryk was to do what he did in 2024 nowadays, he would not be suspended.

While Mudryk has not played competitively since November '24, the Chelsea winger did make cameo appearances in the Blues' final three matches of their recently-concluded pre-season tour. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso said last week that a decision over his future was still yet to be made.

Alonso said: "No decision made. We need to assess, he is a special player but it is a special case so we need to be sensitive."

Chelsea have new signing Morgan Rogers as their primary left wing option. Jamie Gittens and Geovany Quenda, who have both impressed during pre-season, can also play on the left-hand side. Pedro Neto, who is available for sale for the right price this summer, can be used on both flanks
