Mykhailo Mudryk agrees Chelsea exit after dramatic transfer U-turn
Mykhailo Mudryk has agreed to leave Chelsea on loan before the summer transfer window closes, with the winger now ready to continue his comeback away from Stamford Bridge. Strasbourg remain an option, but the 25-year-old would reportedly prefer to join another Premier League club.
The decision represents a significant change in Mudryk’s situation after he returned to Xabi Alonso’s squad this summer.
ReadChelsea reported earlier this month that Alonso planned to bring Mudryk back into the first-team picture following his lengthy absence.

Nizaar Kinsella reports that meetings held at the end of Chelsea’s pre-season tour resulted in Mudryk agreeing to leave on loan before the 1 September transfer deadline.
Chelsea have already discussed sending the Ukraine international to Strasbourg.
ReadChelsea reported on 4 August that the Blues were leaning towards using their BlueCo connection to send Mudryk to the Ligue 1 club rather than another Premier League side.
Mudryk has a different preference.
Kinsella reports that while Strasbourg remains a possible destination, the winger would rather join another English top-flight club. Several leading sides in Italy have also emerged as potential destinations.
That could create an interesting decision for Chelsea.
The Blues can retain greater control over Mudryk’s development by sending him to Strasbourg, while another Premier League loan would allow him to remain accustomed to English football and test himself directly against top-flight opposition.
Chelsea already had significant interest to consider.
ReadChelsea reported on 3 August that three Premier League clubs had made approaches over Mudryk as his future came under fresh scrutiny.
A loan now appears increasingly likely after Mudryk himself accepted that leaving temporarily is the best next step.
Chelsea still need to decide which destination offers the strongest platform for the winger, but the uncertainty over whether he would remain at Stamford Bridge appears to have taken a major step towards resolution.
