Chelsea and Manchester United have both been “offered” Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly, according to reports.
Football.London claim that the defender would be sold by the Gunners if they receive a “good offer” from the Blues.

Why is Lewis-Skelly on the market?
The 19-year-old is unlikely to feature on a regular basis for the Premier League champions if he remains at the Emirates beyond the summer transfer window.
Lewis-Skelly is third-choice left-back, behind Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori, and he struggled to get any minutes in that position last season.
However, the teenager did begin to shine in central midfield by the end of the campaign, and he had managed to displace Martin Zubimendi in the starting eleven. Yet, the recent decision to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle has raised further doubts about his importance to manager Mikel Arteta.
Chelsea have already signed players with similar profiles
It is believed that the Blues have made enquiries about Lewis-Skelly in the past, but Xabi Alonso‘s side have made two recent purchases that suggest the Arsenal star is no longer required.
Valentin Barco has been snapped up from Strasbourg. Like Lewis-Skelly, he is a left-back/midfield hybrid, with experience of playing at the highest level – having been capped by Argentina.
Pep Chavarria is also expected to seal his transfer to Stamford Bridge over the coming hours. He will provide competition for Jorrel Hato on the left-hand side of defence. In that context, it is hard to see where Lewis-Skelly would fit into Alonso’s plans, although that hasn’t stopped the club from signing players in the past.
