Report: Veteran DE Ogbah returns to Chiefs on one-year deal

The Kansas City Chiefs are reuniting with a familiar face.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the team is signing Emmanuel Ogbah to a one-year deal.

Ogbah, 32, spent the 2019 season with the team, winning a Super Bowl.

A native of Lagos, Ogbah spent last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He appeared in 13 games, recording 15 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Originally selected with the 32nd overall selection of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State, Ogbah heads into his 11th NFL season.

In 136 career games with the Jags, Miami Dolphins, Chiefs and Cleveland Browns, Ogbah has recorded 332 tackles, 48.0 sacks and two interceptions.

The Chiefs open up their preseason schedule on Saturday with a visit from the Los Angeles Rams. Their regular season kicks off on Sept. 14 when they entertain the Denver Broncos.
