There are only a few weeks of the transfer window left to go, and clubs will have to get a move on if they want to get all of their business done in time. The likes of Elliot Anderson, Bruno Guimaraes and Morgan Rogers have already been involved in big-money moves, but the expectation is that more are yet to come.
Be that Bradley Barcola joining as Arsenal’s marquee signing, or Manchester City splashing big to bring Enzo Fernandez to the Etihad Stadium. As we enter crunch time in the transfer window, Express Sport have picked out seven bumper deals we could still see this month.
It’s no secret that Arsenal are in the market for forwards, having unsuccessfully waited it out as part of a pursuit for Vinicius Junior. In the end, they were left with tails between their legs and have since had to look at alternative targets. One of them being Bradley Barcola, who is reportedly open to leaving PSG this summer. The Frenchman could just be the missing piece of the jigsaw that Mikel Arteta has been looking for. The Gunners might be willing to pay what Liverpool are hesitant to.
It’s been a busy summer at the Etihad without much actually having happened. Enzo Maresca and Anderson have arrived, but there’s a sense it could be about to explode into life. The talk is that City like Fernandez as their blockbuster replacement for Rodri, who is seemingly on his way to Barcelona. The Argentine won’t come cheap though, with a £120million price tag having been set by Chelsea.
It could still turn out that Barcola moves to Anfield instead, but even if he does join the Reds, Liverpool are still desperate for attacking reinforcements. A player they really like the look of is Ibrahim Mbaye - also at PSG and who dazzled for Senegal at the World Cup. The youngster has plenty of potential, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Liverpool put their foot on the accelerator with this one.
Tottenham’s search for attacking additions is still ongoing, with it having looked like Savinho was destined for the north Londoners all summer. Now City have returned from their pre-season tour, perhaps Spurs will up the ante in pursuit of the Brazilian, who is open to joining Roberto De Zerbi’s side. It’s claimed around £60million should be enough for the Londoners to get a deal done.

Manchester United are desperate for improvements on their left flank, be that in defence or attack. Lewis Hall is a player they admire a lot, but have been told Newcastle view him as untouchable. Everybody has a price though, right? A £60m offer for the Englishman could leave the Magpies with a decision to make.
Speaking of desperation, Ronald Araujo’s arrival at Liverpool merely puts a plaster over their need for defensive reinforcements. Ezri Konsa has been linked with a move to the six-time European champions, and with a price tag said to be in the region of £60m, Liverpool could certainly do a lot worse this summer.
And finally, a transfer that wasn’t on anyone’s radar at the beginning of the summer, or even last week for that matter. Myles Lewis-Skelly has reportedly been offered to several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea. The Emirates Stadium to Stamford Bridge (and vice versa) is a well-trodden path at this stage, and following the arrival of Guimaraes, the talk is that Lewis-Skelly would be allowed to leave.
