Arsenal
Galatasaray are heavily interested in Gabriel Martinelli. The Turkish side has launched a transfer bid for the Arsenal winger. The Brazilian is most likely on his way out of the Emirates Stadium. But a question remains whether the Gunners would be able to afford to lose another player on that left wing position.
Galatasaray are focused to land Gabriel Martinelli
As reported by Caught Offside, Gabriel Martinelli has appeared to become one of their primary transfer targets this summer transfer window. Martinelli could be a perfect fit for the Turkish giants in the Super Lig. Moreover, he could be available in the market for a suitable price. But it is still not clear whether the Gunners are interested to sell him or not.
Martinelli has become another serious option for Galatasaray. Okan Buruk’s side wants to strengthen the left side of the frontline and therefore they are active in the market. Alongside the Brazilian, Galatasaray are also interested in AC Milan’s Rafael Leao. Journalist Haluk Yurekli has confirmed on his X that the Turkish champions have officially sent €40m transfer bids for both Gabriel Martinelli and Rafael Leao. Such an official approach for the Arsenal forward may accelerate the pace of the transfer talks if Arsenal are willing to negotiate.
The Gunners fans are divided upon Martinelli’s potential exit. Some fans believe it would cause a great damage as the London side have not secured a replacement for Leandro Trossard who used to play on that same position. Trossard has completed a move to another Turkish club Besiktas for €18m, as reported by BBC. Another set of fans are ready to bid goodbye to the 25-year-old left winger. Though being fantastic at times, his inconsistency over the years have led Arsenal fans to draw such a conclusion.

Will Arsenal accept the offer for Gabriel Martinelli?
Galatasaray’s €40m offer for Gabriel Martinelli is way below than Arsenal’s set valuation for the forward. The transfer fee discussed will not be enough to convince the Premier League champions to sell the player. Arsenal are ready to listen to offers from the suitors but will not allow to let him go for a price which does not satisfy them.
Fans would take this bid as a warning. The €40m is the base level investment the Turkish side is ready to put, though it is far from Arsenal’s asking price. If Galatasaray wants to sign the forward, they have to start negotiating with club hierarchy and player’s agent and begin transfer talks. It depends on how much they want to progress the transfer move.
Can Arsenal afford to lose Martinelli and should he leave?
For Arsenal it may be risky as they don’t have direct replacement for the left winger in their squad. They have missed on the signing of Morgan Rogers who has joined their rivals Chelsea. Vinicius Junior was linked with them for a long time. However, he has signed a new contract with Real Madrid. The Gunners have signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge but being young, he needs time to settle in the Premier League.
But on the other side, it will be a great move for Gabriel Martinelli. His inconsistent performances may limit his minutes this season. Turkish league has good players but ranks lower than Premier League in terms of football. So, Turkey would give him an appropriate environment to get his form back.
