Liverpool has been heavily linked with a move for PSG winger Bradley Barcola this summer amid transfer rumors, and the European champions are reportedly set to bring in three new attackers

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has spoken for the first time on Bradley Barcola this summer, although he has declined to discuss the future of the Liverpool transfer target.

The Merseyside club has been strongly linked with a move for the French forward as it looks to bolster its attacking options following Mohamed Salah's exit, with PSG's summer recruitment continuing to provide it with potential opportunities.

Without parting with any first-team regulars, the European champions are poised to secure three new attacking players. Maghnes Akliouche has already completed his switch from AS Monaco, while Mika Godts is anticipated to be the next player to arrive from Ajax.

Barcelona forward Ferran Torres is also on their radar, with that transaction reportedly nearing completion. Such significant reinforcements in attack appear to indicate Barcola might be permitted to depart, but Enrique avoided addressing the matter during his press conference prior to the UEFA Super Cup final against Aston Villa, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The PSG manager stated: "I don't know and I don't want to speak about any player individually, because it's always dangerous when you are asking something positive or negative about a player. I stay focused on my team."

When questioned about Torres, he responded: "I'm not here to talk about the transfer market... only about the players who are currently at PSG."

As matters stand, Barcola remains tied to the Parc Des Princes until 2028 with PSG insisting upon a triple-figure offer to sanction a sale. Reports in France have suggested there is optimism that an agreement over a fee can be struck with personal terms already settled.

The Torres deal could nonetheless prove pivotal to Liverpool's pursuit of Barcola, with Barca boss Hansi Flick offering a strikingly similar response to Enrique's regarding the Spanish forward.

"I respect the players' holidays and I do not have information," he stated when pressed directly on whether the player would be heading to the French capital.

The La Liga champions have already conducted business with Liverpool this summer, with Ronald Araujo joining the Reds on loan in a move confirmed on Monday. Liverpool will cover his full wage bill, with no loan fee changing hands.

Victor Munoz remains the club's sole permanent acquisition of the summer, with a deal for Jeremy Jacquet having been agreed back in February. Head coach Andoni Iraola spoke publicly last month about the necessity of further reinforcements.

"I think it is difficult to say a number. When the market is open, you have to be always open to new options to improve the squad," he said.

"There are obvious situations where we need to sign players. Winger for example, we definitely need to sign a winger, but there are other situations where we will have to analyse what the market gives you, what is the cost, how we also see the players we have.

"We have some tricky positions where we have injured players that we trust, but it is still not the ideal situation, so it will depend on a lot of things."
