‘We are looking’ – Agent confirms Liverpool defender in talks with ‘several clubs’ to leave

Liverpool’s pre-season has been a mixed bag, to say the least, under Andoni Iraola.

After starting with two wins, the Reds have lost each of their last two games, which is a cause for concern.

However, Ifeanyi Ndukwe’s emergence has been one of the few bright sparks for the Reds, although he won’t be allowed to remain at the club and feature due to work permit issues.

We wrote on Read Liverpool that Ndukwe will be loaned out this summer.

And now, his agent Georg Lederer has provided an elaborate update on the matter.

Ifeanyi Ndukwe to leave Liverpool, confirms agent

“I can’t say which clubs we are in dialogue with, but I can confirm that we are in dialogue with Danish clubs about Ifeanyi Ndukwe,” said his agent via Liverpool Echo.

“The only thing I can say is that we are not talking about the top clubs in Denmark. We are also talking to several foreign clubs, but right now we need to decide, in collaboration with Liverpool, where Ifeanyi will fit best.

“We are looking at several different parameters. First and foremost, it is about Ifeanyi getting a lot of playing time, and then Liverpool are also looking at what type of football clubs play, as they want him in a high-pressing defence, so it is a bit like what you see at Liverpool.

“Since Ifeanyi has just arrived at Liverpool, it is of course a loan agreement without an option to buy, but for now I can’t say much more.”

Regular game time should be the name of the game for the youngster, who clearly has a bright future at Anfield.
