The New York Giants are excited for the 2026 NFL season to start, under new head coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh's offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is speaking out about what is going on right now with the offense.

Nagy says his offense has wrinkles it needs to iron out.

“Giants offensive coordinator Matt Nagy says only half of the run game and pass game installs are in,” New York Post reporter Paul Schwartz posted to X, formerly Twitter. “That explains why the offense does not always click at a high level in practice.”

The Giants have high expectations under Harbaugh. New York has struggled for a good while, and the franchise hopes the Super Bowl-champion coach can restore the franchise back to glory.

New York is led on offense by young quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart is working his way through this new offense.

“Well, I think that what's really good about being here is that football is the main thing, and that's how it should be in training camp. So, I really love being here,” Dart said, per ESPN. “I know the guys have too because not only has it made us better on the field, but at the same time it's allowed us to make stronger connections off the field. So, just the more time we've been able to spend with one another I've loved, and I know all the other guys have felt the same way.”

Dart admits that it can take some time to learn all the new plays. Still, he is enthused about getting to take reps each day.

“You're getting a big install each and every day,” Dart said. “So, you just continue to learn, continue to get reps at things and have a lot of really valuable communication.”

New York starts NFL preseason games on Saturday. The Giants will play the Minnesota Vikings.
