**TE vs. LB Pass Pro Drills**
• It's a treat to watch Zack Baun go up against Saquon Barkley and think back to the job Howie Roseman did in the 2024 offseason signing a pair of AP All-Pros, one of whom who would be a finalist for AP Defensive Player of the Year in Baun and THE AP Offensive Player of the Year in Barkley. No general manager has ever accomplished the feat of signing both an AP Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year finalist in the same offseason.
• Jihaad Campbell's explosiveness stands out in this drill, making it hard for the running back to get set.
• Jeremiah Trotter flashed an array of pass rush moves, including a perfectly timed spin move, to get past the blocker on multiple occasions.
**Other highlights: A faster Jalen Hurts?**
• One of the best plays of the day for the offense was the last play of the third team period. Similar to Saturday's practice, it was Jalen Hurts connecting with tight end Dallas Goedert. From the 41-yard line, Goedert ran a 15-yard in route from the right, with Hurts timing the pass perfectly and finding the tight end for the first down.
• Wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks continued to be a threat near the sideline, snagging a low pass before going out of bounds on an out route. It should be noted that outside linebacker Jalyx Hunt was on the prowl, but who knows if he would have caught quarterback Jalen Hurts, who looks faster to Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio.
"I think Jalen's having a good camp," Fangio said. "I think there's been a few times where our guys think they had him and they really didn't. I think he's moving good, and I think he's doing a nice job with the new offense. You know, a lot's been made about him, all these coordinators he's been with. But it's basically been the same offense every year. This is different. And I think he's done a great job with it."
• Wide receiver Darius Cooper continued his impressive camp, keeping his route alive downfield for Hurts to find him on a comeback route. However, Jihaad Campbell and Cooper DeJean came on a blitz and would have sacked Hurts before the throw.
• During 1-on-1s, quarterback Andy Dalton threw a perfect over-the-shoulder pass to wide receiver Samori Toure on a go route.
• During OL vs. DL 1-on-1s, Jordan Mailata had two impressive reps, keeping the pass rusher at arm's length, showcasing why he's one of the best in the league, combining massive size with nimble athleticism. Rookie Markel Bell took his two reps at left tackle and impressed as he showcased the ability to play on both the right and left side of the line. Defensive tackle Ty Robinson displayed the brute strength that made him an early Day 3 pick last season. Returning veteran Tarron Jackson used a spin move to wrap around the tackle to get into the backfield.
WR Danny Gray, OLB Keyshawn James-Newby, CB Jonathan Jones, WR Makai Lemon, RB Dameon Pierce, WR DeVonta Smith, WR Johnny Wilson, S Cole Wisniewski, and OLB Jonathan Greenard were unable to participate in practice due to injury.
LB Chance Campbell and WR Britain Covey participated in a limited capacity.
